Peer Review

Today we had a peer review speaking with other class mates who have chosen the wanderer as there theme. I found this quite interesting because you can really get lost in your work its refreshing to see what others are doing and there take on theme. what I found most interesting was how different each person's direction went in.

1. how are you researching your concept within your broader global content?

• I will look at Moroccan history.
• Moroccan craftsmanship.
• designer progression in morocco. 
• colour in depth.

Suggestions given by my peers: 

• I was told to look at book called culture to catwalk, this book will show me cultural influences in fashion and how its translated in to garments. 
• look at effects of colour and their meanings within moroccan culture?
• look at traditional fabrics and embellishment techniques. 

I found these suggestions quite useful and I will see where my own research will take me and how I add these suggestions within it. 

2. How will this research inform your designs, fabrics, shapes, or colours related?

• when looking at craftsmanship within my research I will try and create more samples using traditional moroccan crafts for example weaving. 

Suggestions given by my peers:

• If I did not manage to create a samples I could possible choose fabrics that are woven. or use woven techniques within my designs as patterns. 

These were both good ideas but I do feel as though it world make sense to include something tradition within my designs however what that is only time will tell when completing my research.
